The museum was founded in 2012 in Nicosia with the help of stylist and designer Maria Iren Ioanna. It is located close to the Faneromeni Church, in the same building as the MoneyGram money transfer service and the postal office.

This private museum was opened inside an old tailor shop belonging to Kiriak Mihailidis. The light, spacious venue now displays items that describe how designer collections are created: from the moment the idea emerges to the moment the fabrics are cut. Visitors can look at and touch the mannequins, old sewing machines, sewing patterns and other sartorial accessories.

The tailor shop and the museum are open all year round. Visitors can talk to the tailor and order something custom-made. The adjacent building has underground parking that can accommodate up to 126 cars.
